John Michael's Birthday

John Michael turned 4 on December 6th so we headed to Hueytown to celebrate! The theme was Handy Manny (which having two girls I had never heard of) and it was really cute. My mother-in-law made the cake, which Michael calls crack, and Tammy had the kids paint cute little toys. The boys had trucks and the girls had mirrors. It was really cute and we had fun. I just can't believe he is already 4!!

Shores Family Photos

My dad asked Krystal, BJ, and me if we would get together and have our picture made for my mom so Sunday afternoon we met at Botanical Gardens and did just that. We also took some surprise shots for my dad too! Here are a few...

Christmas Tree Farm

Matt, my mother-in-law, and I took the five kids to the Pine Hill Tree farm. It was really nice. They have complimentary hot chocolate, a tractor ride, and real reindeer. They also have a few photo props set up, perfect for scrapbooking! We didn't get our tree here (they are cheaper at Lowe's!) but we did have a good time!

Cassidy's Christmas Program 2008

Cassidy's annual Christmas program for school was Tuesday night at the Bessemer Civic Center. It was really cute. They combined two grades and each group sang two songs. Madison kept asking me when her sister was going to sing, then she got really excited when Cassidy's grade got up there. Both girls had a good time, especially Madison who gets tickled whenever she gets to clap!

Thanksgiving 2008

We had a great Thanksgiving this year. We started the morning off at Matt's parents' house and ate there and hung out till that afternoon. Then we headed to my grandparents' to end the day. We had great food both places, but I always enjoy being with my family more! The girls had a good time playing with their cousins, then they headed home with my parents so Matt and I could do some shopping Friday! All in all it was a great day!

Iron Bowl 2008

Well I was a good sport again this year and let Matt dress the girls in their Auburn attire. Personally, I knew it would not make a difference what they were wearing, that Alabama was going to take care of business. And they did! Roll Tide!

Appear Photography

For those who know Lori Dill (Amy Dill's younger sister) she has started her own photography business called Appear Photography. I called her and set up an appointment for the girls to have their pictures made last week and I was not disappointed. She did a fabulous job! She took a ton of pictures, and the girls did really well so they all came out great! Here are a couple and I will try to post more later on. Enjoy!!

Trick-Or-Treat!!

My mother-in-law invited my parents and my aunt Geneva and her family to her house Halloween and she cooked chili, "mummy" dogs, and Halloween fruit punch. Everything was SO good! We then all headed out to the church for a little trunk-or-treating. They had a ton of people handing out candy, as well as games and prizes. We then took the group to the sub-division Letson Farms and let them trick-or-treat at some houses before heading home with a TON of candy.

Disney on Ice 2008

We had a VERY busy weekend! We took the girls to see Disney on Ice and it was great! The theme this year was Disneyland Adventure and it was about the Incredible family going on a family vacation to Disneyland with many fun adventures. It was really cute. I was a little nervous about taking Madison since she is just 2 and I didn't know how she would do, but as soon as the lights went off, she sat up in her seat and never uttered a peep! She really enjoyed it. I will be honest, I did too!!

Just thinking what a difference a year makes....

Pumpkin Patch 2008

We took the girls to the Shadow Lake pumpkin patch in McCalla last Saturday. The weather was gorgeous!! I really do like this pumpkin patch too. They have the train ride, the hay ride, they have story time where the kids can play games and get their faces painted, plus they have lots of pumpkins!! The two best things though are the fact it was right down the road from our house and that it is a church-run organization with the profits going to their missionaries. They also have a fabulous Trunk-or-Treat on Halloween with candy, bonfires, hot-dogs, and all kinds of fun stuff so we are looking forward to that next week!

McAdory Elementary Fall Festival

Cassidy's school held their annual fall festival Friday night and the girls had a blast! They played games, won prizes, and jumped in the moonwalk. Madison even won a book in the "book walk!" They also both came home with a bag full of candy so needless to say between this and Boo at the Zoo, we are good on candy!

Our House

Well we are officially in our house! We closed the end of September so we have been in for a couple of weeks. I am so happy to finally be in it! It is so nice to be so much closer to work and to Cassidy's school. Not to mention the ballpark and the YMCA. We are still getting settled but that is okay. I just know I cannot wait for Christmas so I can go crazy decorating!

Boo at the Zoo

We took the kids to Boo at the Zoo Sunday night and had a blast! This year's theme is Wizard of Oz, which is what my kids and my sister-in-law's kids are dressed as this year so we just had to go. They had the children's part set up with games, the carousel decorated, plus a haunted hay ride and train ride! They also had little houses set up where the kids could trick-or-treat and let me tell you they came home loaded with some candy! It was well worth the money!

Miss Haunting Belle 2008

Cassidy was in the Miss Haunting Belle beauty pageant at the Bessemer City Hall this past Saturday. She has done a few pageants before and has done well so we thought we would give this one a go. I was definitely rethinking my decision when we got there. There were tables lined up against the walls where these moms had hired make-up/hair people to come and spend the day, putting fake hair, teeth, and eyelashes on these kids. Then to top it off, there were moms in the bathrooms putting fake tanning lotion on their girls to make them look darker! Needless to say we didn't do any of that. Plus my grandmother informed me she would beat me with a stick if I ever did. So my girl got up there and did her thing and walked away with the "prettiest eyes" trophy and first alternate! I was so happy for her. She was excited she got a crown and a trophy so all in all, it was a good day!

New House...

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but as you can see, we have been busy! Our house is almost finished! These pictures are from last month but all we are waiting on is the air conditioner and appliances! We are supposed to close the 30th so everyone please say a prayer that everything goes smoothly. I will be excited to get in so I can really make sure to keep up with my blog. (It is hard to do now with no computer or internet at home!) Talk to you all soon!!

Beach Pictures

Can't go to the beach without some cute girls in white dress pictures!!
