Well my baby turned 3 years old today :o( I cannot believe it. It seems like yesterday I was in the hospital delivering her little 4 lb 10oz self. She was so healthy and developed, she never had to stay a second in the NICU, so she became a sensation at the hospital. Nurses, doctors, janitorial staff, cafeteria workers, you name it, they were stopping by my room wanting to see the 4lb cutie everybody was talking about. I'll never forget her being so small, they put a newborn shirt on her bottom and on top and made a onesie out of them! Anyway we celebrated her birthday yesterday at Fun Factory and she had so much fun! Everybody got a kick out of watching her go! Here are a few pics from the special day.....

Cassidy's Gymnastics

Cassidy is taking gymnastics at McCalla Academy of Dance down by our house. Last week they had observation/picture day so it gave the parents a chance to take pictures and watch the kids practice for their recital. Here are a few I took....

This is Cassidy with her 2nd cousin Hannah and her friend Brianna.

On a baby update, I went to the doctor this morning and everything is looking good. I had only gained 2 pounds, which puts me at 2.5 lbs gained so far, and blood pressure looked great. The heartbeat was a healthy 158bpm and I go back April 16th to find out what we are having. I cannot wait!!

Spring Break 2009

Spring Break was last week for Jefferson County schools so I decided to take the week off to be with the girls. We have spent the past two years in Orlando, but this year we decided to save that money and do stuff around here. On Thursday we went to Fun Factory on Morgan Road in Bessemer because for $5 the kids can have open play, and let me tell you, it would have been worth $50! They had so much fun, and basically had everything to themselves so I am definitely going to remember this for the future!

Birmingham Zoo

So my birthday was last Tuesday, St. Patrick's Day, and so I thought it would be fun to take the girls to the zoo. My mother-in-law agreed with me, so she, Matt's dad, his sister, and her three kids went to the zoo with us. I knew it was Spring Break and I knew Tuesdays were half off day, but Lord above I had no idea everybody else had the same idea! It was a mad house! Luckily we got there early and didn't have to compete with the afternoon crowd but I sure learned my lesson!!

They have added a few new attractions since we had been last, one being the camel ride. Cassidy is fearless so I knew she would want to do it. Madison, however, I was unsure of. She insisted she wanted to ride, stood in line for 5 minutes, then when they hoisted her on that bad boy she had a complete MELTDOWN!! I am such a bad mom, all I could think about was why didn't I have my camera available to capture that look on her face!!

This is another new exhibit, the kangaroos. I really liked this one myself. It seemed every time we would go they would always be hiding, but with the new area, you are within walking distance of them!

Our first stop was the reptiles, which Madison couldn't understand because she told us all she did not like snakes, but she went in anyway and even posed with this lizard!

Cassidy's 2nd Grade PTA Program

Cassidy had her 2nd grade program Wednesday night at school. It was a reading based theme, and the kids dressed in their McAdory colors. She is one of the few girls who cheers in her grade (plus she is a little bit of a teacher's pet) so she was picked to be on stage to do a cheer with three other kids. I didn't get pictures of that because I had to video it for Matt but here is a couple of pictures from the night. Maybe soon I can get the video uploaded because if I do say so myself she was the cutest, loudest, and cheeriest!!

Georgia Aquarium

Matt and I took the kids to the Georgia Aquarium last Friday and we were excited that Tammy and John Michael wanted to go with us. The kids had a blast! The adults had a lot of fun too. I was a little disappointed in the aquarium itself, but that might have to do with the fact I have been in Sea World the past two years and there is no comparison to that!!

The kids enjoyed the fish, a 3 D show, as well as the Titanic exhibit. Granted the Titanic thing was mainly for the adults but they got all in to it as well. Needless to say it was an exhausting, but great day!! Thanks again to Tammy and John Michael for going with us. We had a blast!!!

Sweet and Sassy

I am not referring to her but with a title of "Sweet and Sassy" how could I not include this picture????

Cassidy went to her friend Taylor's birthday party a few weekends ago at the Sweet and Sassy Spa at Patton Creek and had a wonderful time. S&S is a spa for little girls where they go and get their hair and nails done, plus get to dress up for a fashion show. The girls were also lucky enough to have the chance to ride around Hoover in a pink limo. I felt sorry for Taylor's dad though because he had to ride around with 13 squealing girls watching High School Musical. Glad it wasn't me!!

Snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was tickled to death when I woke up Sunday morning and looked out my window and saw all the snow on the ground! I wish I would have had a camera available when the girls saw it the first time. They were in utter fascination! Technically this is not their first snow, however, this is the most they have ever had to play in. Plus it was fun being outside WHILE it was snowing! They had a blast and so did Matt and I watching them!
